Through a friend of a friend, I managed to get on the Tyndale list for preview/review copies of books. the first one that they gave me was Rick Santorum’s American patriots.
In a nutshell, it’s a neat book. The faux-aged paper is a bit tacky, but the contents, if not researched and cited to an academic level, are nevertheless engaging. I was never a Santorum hater, but nor was I a huge Santorum supporter. I like a lot of what he’s done, though his strict adherence to the GOP platform on all issues is tiresome. I’m a Ron Paul guy. I’m one for Liberty and the Republic.
That being said, this was an overall enjoyable book, though very short. The chapters are short and pithy, and I did learn a few things about a few of the more obscure names from the history of the founding of this great Republic.
Not a bad book, and for a history buff, it could serve as a great starting point.
